Dr. Ali Ghanem

Dr Ali Ghanem is an award-winning consultant plastic surgeon with an international client base. After attending medical schools in Syria and the United Kingdom, he completed his surgical training at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and England.

He was awarded his PhD in Developmental and Stem Cell Biology from University College London. His unique background combines scientific rigour (MSc with Distinction in Surgical Science, UCL), biotechnological advances (PhD, UCL), aesthetic vision (MSc with Distinction in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Queen Mary University) and the art of Plastic Reconstructive Aesthetic Surgery.

Dr Ghanem holds international fellowships having worked with global experts including Sam Hamra (face lift, Texas), Nasser Nasser (rhinoplasty, London), Moustapha Hamdi (breast surgery, Brussels), and Roger Khouri (Regenerative Surgery, Miami).

His academic work has been recognised by prestigious prizes including The Arnold Huddard Medal, Education Excellence Innovation Award from London Deanery, and visiting Professorships at Barcelona University and Cardarelli Biotechnology Centre in Naples.

He served as Clinical Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London where he founded the MSc programme in Aesthetic Medicine. In 2020 he was appointed Visiting Professor at the College of Medicine Birmingham and Ulster University.

Dr Ghanem is a passionate humanitarian, actively treating patients in need in his native Syria.
